Description; Picturesque cottage at heart of beautiful Vallée de la Course.

A charming 3 bedroom cottage situated opposite a water cress farm in an idyllic river valley and part of a small holding next door to the very friendly owners. The cottage has been recently modernised and features a fully fitted wooden kitchen with wall oven, halogen hob and built in fridge. The 30ft sejour (day room) provides ample space for cosy seating around a tiled hearth with efficient wood burning stove. The rest of the room is dominated – in the French manner - by a long refectory table and chairs.  Washing machine provided.

The three double bedrooms 2 of which are linked are furnished with locally made traditional wooden beds and armoires and are decorated as is the rest of the cottage in pastel colours. The 3rd bedroom has an optional separate entrance. A wooden spiral staircase in one corner leads up to it's own attic sitting room with TV/VCR and en suite WC + wash basin. On the ground floor there is a shower room with massage shower and separate WC. All rooms look out onto the terrace and gravelled courtyard which is dominated by a large weeping willow at its centre. The gravelled terrace is hidden from the road by a huge ivy covered barn and is furnished with a  garden gazebo with table and chairs for outdoor dining.  A BBQ is provided.

The cottage is ideally placed for exploring the empty lanes of the valley on foot, cycle or car. Trout from village lakes or local country inns. Sea and golf within 30 mins.  There are 2 bars a few min walk away in the village.

Electricity metered. Bed linen available for hire. Logs. Fold up bed if needed.
